Happy New Year News: A Forthcoming Chapbook & a New Collaboration!
I have two exciting things to share at the start of 2019. First, a college/poem collaboration made with my writing partner Elizabeth Paul is just up at petrichor in their themed issue, Issue IX: Renewal. Liz and I have a new collection created over the course of a year, between August 2017-August 2018. For twelve months, we made collages and sent them to each other. The following month, after receiving each other’s visual work, we’d send back a new stand-alone collage as well as a poem written in response to the collage we’d received the previous month. This pair is the first to be published from our manuscript and features a collage made by me and Liz’s poem in response.
And, I am thrilled to announce that my first book will be in the world come autumn! My chapbook, Dressing the Wounds, was accepted by dancing girl press for publication in the fall of 2019. I am over the moon to have found a home with dgp, a small press & design studio in Chicago that publishes chapbooks by women poets. As described on their site: “Since 2004, the annual dgp chapbook series has been devoted to publishing innovative writing by women authors in delectable handmade editions, as well as exploring the intersection of writing and the visual/book arts.”
